Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center plans annual Walk of Hope in Temecula

Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center will hold its annual Walk of Hope 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 27 at Promenade Temecula, 40820 Winchester Road.

In addition to the walk, the event will include live music, a resource fair, vendor booths, food trucks and contests.

This year’s event also features the debut of the Cars of Hope car show, to be held in the Promenade Temecula parking lot.

“The Walk of Hope is more than just a day — it’s a celebration of positivity, hope and connection. With the new car show and tons of expanded activities, we’re gearing up for a truly unforgettable experience and can’t wait to see everyone there,” Kim Gerrish, executive director of Michelle’s Place, said in a news release.

Registration is $40 general, $25 for survivors and thrivers and $20 for virtual walkers and those younger than 12, available at michellesplace.org/event/2024-walk-of-hope/. Registration to enter a car is $25, also available at michellesplace.org/event/2024-walk-of-hope/.

Proceeds will benefit Michelle’s Place, which is based in Temecula and provides free resources to cancer patients in Riverside and San Bernardino counties and the surrounding area.

The Walk of Hope is co-hosted by the city of Temecula, and last year’s event drew more than 1,000 participants, according to the news release.
