At around 8 p.m. on Nov. 1, a woman was riding her scooter in Jurupa Valley when a man, later identified as Brian Vaughn, 36, offered her a ride. When she refused, he grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her to his vehicle, but she was able to escape., authorities said.

On Nov. 6, investigators executed a search warrant at Vaughn’s residence on the 3900 block of Hawk Drive, Jurupa Valley, where he was taken into custody.

He was also identified as the suspect in two previous incidents.

On Oct. 31, the Sheriff’s Station received a call about a man following a 17-year-old girl as she walked home from school. He was reportedly photographing her and offering her a ride. Deputies did not locate the suspect at the time.

The following day, deputies responded to a report of a man who had solicited a lewd act from a 12-year-old girl in Moreno Valley. It was determined that the suspect was known to the victim, and was the same suspect from the incident the day before.
